Grape Salad              From:  Jackie Petty

2lbs. red grapes
2lbs. white grapes
cup sugar
8 oz. soft cream cheese
8 oz. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla


cup brown sugar
1cup toasted chopped pecans

Wash grapes.  Mix together white sugar, cream cheese, sour cream and vanilla.   Fold in grapes.  Place in 13 x 9 dish.  Mix together topping ingredients and spread over grapes.  Refrigerate overnight, then eat and enjoy!!!

Tomato Aspic       From: Irene Dempsey Etheridge

2  envelopes of Plain gelatin
1/4  cup of cold water
2  Cups of Tomato Juice
4 tbsp. of chopped celery
4 tbsp. of chopped onion
1 tbsp. of chopped green pepper
1/2  tsp. salt
few grains of red pepper
1 tbsp tarragon vinegar or us 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped green onions


Soften gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.  Mix tomato juice, salt, red pepper, celery, onions and green pepper.  Simmer for 10 minutes.  Add hot mixture to gelatin mixture and stir until dissolved.  Add olives, vinegar and lemon juice  (or tarragon vinegar)  Turn into molds which have been rinsed in cold water and chill.  Un mold and place in nest of salad greens for 6-8 individual servings.  Top with Durkee's or mayonnaise.

Quick Ambrosia     From: Sue Dillard Dempsey  

3 or 4 large Golden Delicious Apples (peeled and grated)
one 6 oz. can Frozen concentrate Orange Juice (Add 2 l/2 cans water)
l small can Crushed Pineapple, including the juice
one 6 oz. Frozen Coconut or can of Angel Flake Coconut                                      
2 Tablespoons Sugar         

Mix orange juice first - add apples as you grate them -then other ingredients.

Chinese Salad     

1             Bag coleslaw
1 bunch  Green Onions
2 pkg      Ramen noodles -oriental flavor    (uncooked)
                Sunflower seeds (roasted not salted)
                Almonds -slivered


C        Rice Vinegar or white/cider vinegar
C        Sugar
3 Tbsp    Sesame Oil or regular vegetable oil
2             Ramen noodle flavor packet
Put dressing on 10 minutes before serving.  Any earlier and the salad gets soggy.
